FIMA Conecta Talento will boost employability and innovation in the agri-food sector
2025-12-29
Feria de Zaragoza adds FIMA Conecta Talento to the official programme of FIMA 2026, which will take place from 10 to 14 February 2026. This event, scheduled for Friday, 13 February, emerges as a strategic initiative aimed at connecting new generations with the business reality of the agri-food sector, following the warm reception it received during its first edition at FIGAN 2025.
FIMA Conecta Talento was created with the objective of establishing a meeting point between young talent, academic training, and companies and institutions within the agri-food field. The initiative reflects FIMA’s commitment to the professionalisation of the sector and seeks to boost employability, foster knowledge transfer, and bring technological innovation closer to students and young professionals.
A space for professional development and networking
The event will offer a comprehensive programme of activities designed to facilitate participants’ entry into the labour market and to promote knowledge exchange between generations. Among its main proposals are individual mentoring sessions, where agri-food experts will provide direct guidance to young professionals on career orientation and skill development.
Practical workshops will address topics such as innovation, talent management, and professional skills development, while speed interviews will allow short meetings between companies and candidates to support recruitment and the identification of new profiles.
The exhibition area will showcase the participating companies’ business projects, offering visitors an overall vision of the sector’s opportunities.
FIMA Conecta Talento is aimed at students and professionals interested in developing their careers within the agri-food industry.
The event will bring together participants from diverse technical and educational backgrounds: agronomists and agricultural technicians, maintenance and machinery specialists, IT and programming professionals, business and management students, as well as profiles linked to engineering, innovation, research, and other disciplines related to the sector.
This diversity reinforces the multidisciplinary nature of FIMA and underlines the need to incorporate skilled talent in such varied areas as digitalisation, technology, and resource management within the agricultural sector.
With the launch of FIMA Conecta Talento, Feria de Zaragoza reaffirms its role as a leading platform for the development and modernisation of the agri-food industry. The initiative not only facilitates access to the labour market but also promotes a more innovative vision of agricultural activity.
Another major highlight of this edition will be FIMA Tech, an area dedicated to technological innovation applied to agriculture. It will serve as a meeting point where innovation, technology, and business come together. Robotics, artificial intelligence, big data, IoT, and precision agriculture will take the spotlight alongside startups, universities, and leading companies shaping the future of farming.
Educational institutions, students, and professionals interested in taking part in FIMA Conecta Talento can register via the form available on the official FIMA website.
