AREI

AREI is the entity that brings together and represents the Work Integration Enterprises of Aragón, organizations that combine business activity with a clear social purpose: creating employment opportunities for people in situations of, or at risk of, social exclusion.

Work Integration Enterprises are companies that operate in sectors such as the circular economy, waste management, cleaning, gardening, or the care economy, among others. Through employment contracts, training, and personalized support, they help people from vulnerable social groups gain professional experience, develop job-related skills, and improve their employability in order to access the regular labor market later on.

Currently, AREI brings together the 19 Work Integration Enterprises in Aragón and leads the promotion of a business model that demonstrates it is possible to combine competitiveness, sustainability, and social and labor inclusion. Since 1999, it has worked to strengthen the sector, promote inclusive employment, encourage responsible public procurement, and build alliances with public administrations, companies, and social organizations, contributing to the development of a more inclusive, cohesive, and sustainable society.
