ASES XXI is a company that began its activity in 2001, offering quality management consulting services to educational centers across all departments.

In 2002, it started carrying out safety inspections in sports and leisure facilities, obtaining its first accreditation from the National Accreditation Body in 2004. Since then, it has expanded its scope to include various standards for leisure equipment and installations (playgrounds, water slides, water play equipment), gymnastics equipment (vaulting boxes, vaulting horses, wall bars, Swedish benches, etc.), exercise equipment (strength and cardio machines), and sports facilities (basketball hoops, football goals, skate parks, padel courts, tennis courts, volleyball courts, etc.).

We are the only entity in Spain accredited by ENAC (100/EI873) for accessibility inspections under Ministerial Order TMA/851/2021 of July 23, which develops the technical document on basic accessibility and non-discrimination conditions for access and use of urban public spaces, and under UNE Standard 170001-1:2007: Universal Accessibility. Part 1: DALCO criteria to facilitate accessibility to the environment in playgrounds, training elements, and outdoor sports areas.

Currently, we are the leading organization in our sector, carrying out inspections in major municipalities and autonomous communities, and providing services to most maintenance companies involved in the installation and upkeep of sports and leisure equipment. We conduct more than 5,000 inspections and participate in over 50 annual audits of manufacturers and maintenance providers. The technical director of ASES XXI participates as an expert in various UNE standardization subcommittees (Sports, Playground Equipment, and Accessibility), actively collaborating in working groups that develop guidelines to improve safety and accessibility.

ASES XXI is also a member of the Executive Committee of AFAMOUR (Spanish Association of Urban Furniture Manufacturers), ASEJA (Spanish Association of Green Infrastructure Companies), and AEPJP (Spanish Association of Public Parks and Gardens). In addition, it promotes the Inclusive Park Award, whose first edition is being held this year.

We have more than 20 years of experience in compliance inspections of leisure equipment and installations (playgrounds, water slides, water play equipment), gymnastics equipment (vaulting boxes, vaulting horses, wall bars, Swedish benches, etc.), exercise equipment (strength and cardio machines), and sports facilities (basketball hoops, football goals, skate parks, padel courts, tennis courts, volleyball courts, etc.).

We provide our inspection services in Spain to both private clients, such as homeowners’ associations, shopping centers, sports complexes, gyms, and schools, and public clients, including city councils, regional administrations, provincial councils, and intermunicipal associations.

We also carry out private inspections abroad, inspecting installed equipment and auditing manufacturers of sports equipment and maintenance providers in Portugal, Italy, France, Panama, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Argentina, and China. At the same time, we develop training programs, both in-person and online, on all the mentioned regulations for our clients and anyone who wishes or needs such training, through open and private courses.

Some members of ASES XXI have more than 30 years of experience conducting inspections and safety audits of quality management systems, environmental systems, and occupational health and safety systems, as well as occupational risk prevention audits. They also provide training in these areas for auditors, inspectors, installation and maintenance technicians, and design and management staff in various public and private organizations.
