FIMA 2026 presents its program of technical sessions

The Zaragoza Trade Fair will host a new edition of the International Agricultural Machinery Fair (FIMA 2026) from February 10th to 14th, bringing together key players in the sector for a program of technical seminars, professional forums, and industry meetings dedicated to addressing the major present and future challenges facing agriculture.

FIMA 2026 TECHNICAL SEMINAR PROGRAM

The seminars will begin on Tuesday, February 10th, with the Seminar on Renewable Energy in Irrigation, organized by the Spanish Association of Irrigation and Drainage (AERYD), which will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Room 4 of the Congress Center.

The program on Wednesday, February 11th, will focus on rural development, mechanization, regulations, and industry innovation. The day will begin with the International Garlic Forum, organized by Feria de Zaragoza, which will take place throughout the morning in Hall 3 of the Congress Center and will bring together professionals and experts in this strategic crop.

Likewise, the analysis of regulations and safety in the field of agricultural machinery will be a key focus with the session "Agricultural Vehicles, in the Field and on the Road," organized by the National Association of Agricultural, Forestry and Green Space Machinery (ANSEMAT) in Hall 7. In the same hall, the sessions "Cybersecurity is No Longer Optional," presented by Ambimetrics from 11:00 to 11:30, and "ISO-Bus Regulation and Commercial Solutions," organized by HYDAC from 11:45 to 12:45, will also be held.

In parallel, the Auditorium of the Congress Center will host the 10th National Forum on Rural Development, under the theme "Rural Development in the New International Context," organized by the College of Agricultural Engineers of Aragon, Navarre, and the Basque Country. Throughout the morning, the program will be completed with the session "Organic Production," organized by the Government of Aragon through the Directorate General of Innovation and Agri-food Promotion (12:30 to 2:00 PM), and with the conference "Boosting Mechanization: The RENOVE Plan and Quality Marks," promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (1:30 to 2:30 PM).

On Thursday, February 12, the Congress Center at the Zaragoza Trade Fair will once again be the epicenter of technical debate with the conference "Advanced Agronomic Systems for Soil Management and Climate Adaptation," organized by the Center for Information and Business Creation Network (CIRCE). That same day, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., a new session of the 10th National Rural Development Forum will be held, this time organized by the College of Agricultural Engineers of Aragon, Navarre, and La Rioja.

The session will also include a presentation on the RENOVE Plan, which will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., along with the presentation of the quality labels promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food.

Concurrently, between 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., the Fruit Innovation Hub Verón, organized by Viveros Verón, will be presented. Following this, from 12:45 p.m. to 1:15 p.m., the presentation "Optimization of Thermal Processes in Alfalfa Dehydration Plants," organized by CIRCE, will be held.

Next, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the talk "Identity and Scope of SARGA," organized by the Aragonese Society for Agro-Environmental Management (SARGA), will be given. The day will conclude with an assembly of the National Association of Breeders of Select Aragonese Sheep (ANGRA), which will take place in the afternoon, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, in Room 1 of the Congress Center.

On Friday, February 13, the Auditorium of the Congress Center will host the conference "Analysis and Perspectives on the CAP for the 2028–2034 Period," organized by the Government of Aragon. The event will bring together institutional representatives, experts, and agricultural organizations to discuss the future of the Common Agricultural Policy. The meeting will include an opening presentation, three roundtables, and closing remarks by the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food of the Government of Aragon, Javier Rincón Gimeno. In the afternoon, Room 1 of the Congress Center will host the conference "Current Challenges in Extensive Cattle Farming," organized by the Young Farmers' Association of Aragon (ASAJA).

On Saturday, February 14, Hall 7 will host various activities as part of Family Day and the talk "History, Challenges, and Opportunities for Rural Women," promoted by the Association of Families and Women in Rural Areas (AFAMMER). These events will close out an intense week of technical and professional meetings at FIMA 2026.
