Good prospects for the celebration of Enomaq 2019

2018-06-18

Following a strong start and thanks to a successful marketing strategy, the ENOMAQ, OLEOMAQ, TECNOVID, and OLEOTEC trade shows have seen a 26 percent increase in registered companies compared to the same period in 2017. With eight months to go before the event, over 65 percent of exhibition space has already been reserved, representing 70 percent of the available area.

Thus, from February 26 to March 1, 2019, wine and olive oil will be the driving forces behind the activity at the Zaragoza Trade Fair Center. The four shows focused on machinery, equipment, and techniques for winemaking and olive oil production will become key hubs for these sectors, thanks to a significant influx of new industry innovations and, undoubtedly, a notable increase in the number of participating companies.

These promising forecasts are further bolstered, as announced by Alfredo Ibisate, president of the ENOMAQ Organizing Committee, during the committee's last meeting—held at the Patio de la Infanta in Zaragoza—by the launch of a new sector: beer production, with the addition of E-Beer.

With a market value exceeding €15.5 billion and representing 1.4 percent of GDP, the Spanish brewing industry contributes to the creation of 344,000 jobs and adds €7 billion in value to the economy. Spain is currently the fourth largest beer producer in the European Union and the second largest employer.

Undoubtedly, this is a growing sector that will bring interesting innovations and synergies to a market—that of olive oil and wine—which shares many similarities and whose presence will only "add to and benefit the entire sector, since ENOMAQ is the International Exhibition of Machinery and Equipment for Bottling," explained Alberto López, Commercial Director of Feria de Zaragoza. He pointed out that it is a growing market that "doesn't have a defined space and could be really interesting for us." For López, the coexistence between wine and olive oil has been "very good from the beginning," so "the same will be true for beer."

López clarified that this is not a new exhibition hall, but rather “a new space within ENOMAQ,” which will contribute to “enhancing the offerings and possibilities of the exhibitions” taking place from February 26 to March 1, 2019. In this regard, he emphasized the positive reception the wine and olive oil events have generated within the sector.

Furthermore, the Trade and Marketing Manager announced a change in the layout of the pavilions hosting these events “with the aim of allowing us to grow and become more competitive.” This new arrangement was implemented with the consensus of the Organizing Committee members and the exhibiting companies.
