2017-01-17
An increase in the number of exhibitors, a larger exhibition space, and a higher percentage of new technical innovations submitted to the competition. With just a month to go, the upcoming edition of ENOMAQ 2017 is already brimming with positive figures that demonstrate the importance of the event for the national and international wine sector.
From February 14 to 17, 2017, ENOMAQ, OLEOMAQ, TECNOVID, OLEOTEC, and FRUYVER will transform Feria de Zaragoza into the leading international hub for the wine, olive oil, and fruit and vegetable markets. In this new edition, the agri-food industry has once again shown strong support for the trade fair organized by the Aragonese trade fair institution, surpassing the 2015 event in terms of attendance.
To present all the new features and figures from the leading event in Southern Europe, a presentation has been organized for January 19th, within the La Mancha Designation of Origin, located in the town of Alcázar de San Juan in the province of Ciudad Real. The objective of this event is to highlight the importance of the La Mancha region in the wine sector and, therefore, to convey the significance of ENOMAQ and all the solutions the fair can offer to professionals and wineries in this area.
The presentation of ENOMAQ will be attended by the Director General of Agri-food Industries and Cooperatives of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha, Gregorio Jaime Rodríguez, and representing Feria de Zaragoza will be the Commercial Director, Alberto J. López, who will outline the event's status just weeks before it takes place.
López will discuss the more than one thousand exhibiting brands participating in this edition, which have required the opening of a new pavilion to accommodate them. This has increased the exhibition space, bringing the total to over 49,000 square meters. According to López, these five events will become a unique showcase for the latest innovations in techniques, machinery, and equipment for wineries and olive oil mills.
Furthermore, details such as the extensive program of technical workshops, guided product tastings and samplings, and the busy schedule of trade missions will be presented, representing a “firm commitment to opening the sector to new international markets.” This edition of the event is expected to draw more than 60 companies from some 20 countries, another increase compared to the previous edition held in February 2015.
Joining López at the event in the La Mancha Designation of Origin will be the event coordinator, Javier Camo, who will elaborate on what ENOMAQ 2017 means for the sector and its commitment to innovation, which “represents the edition with the most new products presented in recent years.” There has been up to a 30 percent increase in products submitted to the competition compared to the previous event, a considerable rise that “reflects the companies’ ongoing efforts to professionalize the sector.”
Another highlight is the launch of the 2nd ENOMAQ EXCELLENCE Award for best practices, which will recognize a winery that meets criteria for research, development, innovation, sustainability, quality, and environmental standards. This award reinforces the trade fair's commitment to contributing to the improvement of the wine industry, further enhancing the event's international standing as a leading showcase for Spanish-Portuguese technology and machinery.
Ultimately, this event in the province of Ciudad Real underscores the importance of ENOMAQ for the national market, where Castilla-La Mancha plays a significant role, given that it boasts Spain's largest wine Denomination of Origin, La Mancha, and its oldest, Valdepeñas.
Without a doubt, from February 14th to 17th, ENOMAQ-OLEOMAQ, TECNOVID-OLEOTEC, and FRUYVER 2017 will once again become an unmissable event for manufacturers, producers, exporters, importers, winemakers, grape growers, fruit producers, and other professionals in the wine, olive oil, fruit, and vegetable sectors. All of them will be present at the Zaragoza Trade Fair for this most innovative and eagerly awaited edition.
