Commercial and business activity is emerging strongly and optimistically among professionals in the sector

2015-02-25

Commercial and business activity has taken off with force and optimism among industry professionals attending the ENOMAQ, TECNOVID, OLEOTEC, OLEOMAQ, and FRUYVER trade shows, which are being held until next Friday at the Zaragoza Trade Fair. One of the activities promoting the opening of foreign markets for our products is the Trade Missions. Today, 58 delegations from Algeria, the United States, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, and Turkey held meetings and direct visits with Spanish producers with the aim of establishing business relationships.

The program kicked off today with several presentations and workshops that generated considerable interest among attendees. The activities running parallel to the main exhibition constitute a very useful working tool for professionals in the sector, both for the quality of the topics presented, their thorough analysis, the exchange of experiences and opinions they generate, and for the participation of experts, both national and international.

Organized by associations, professional bodies, research centers, and media outlets, the conferences respond to the needs and concerns expressed by the sector and analyze in depth issues related to wine, olive oil, and fruits and vegetables.

Thus, the conferences organized by the Official Association of Agricultural Engineers of Aragon, Navarre, and the Basque Country began today with stone fruit as the main focus. The discussions centered on one of the problems that most concerns the sector: the current dynamics for the optimal selection of varieties.

On the other hand, the diagnosis and new perspectives in the control of oxidation and reduction processes in wine were the main topics of the conference organized by the Aroma and Enology Analysis Laboratory (LAAE), a world-renowned laboratory in research on the chemical basis of wine aroma and flavor. The conference also included a practical demonstration of the aromas involved. Meanwhile, the Winemaker's Corner continued its daily activities in Hall 9, where, in addition to wine tastings, conferences and presentations on various topics related to the sector are held.

During the second day of the fair, and as one of the new features of this edition, diplomas were awarded in recognition of the design and aesthetic presentation of the products and machinery of the participating exhibitors. The companies recognized were: AZ3 Oeno; Diam; Ebrocork; Masilva Garzón; Pellenc; Pieralisi; Verallia; and Zaforsa.
