The technical sessions analyze in depth the needs and strengths of the agri-food industry

2015-02-26

Technical workshops are an essential working tool for professionals in the sector, who rely on these spaces as the ideal meeting point for disseminating and promoting their services or products, as well as being key for the exchange of experiences and information on issues of concern to the agri-food industry.

The Feria de Zaragoza facilities experienced a very busy day today with a series of workshops and conferences that generated enormous interest among professionals, filling the rooms to capacity. Alongside the program, the stands continued with a frenetic level of commercial and business activity, reflecting the optimistic atmosphere that can be seen in the five exhibition halls.

Olive oil was the main focus of the second day of the Official College of Agronomists of Aragon, Navarre, and the Basque Country, where speakers emphasized the selection of olive varieties, the production and preservation of olive oil, and its marketing in the national and international markets.

On the other hand, organic and sulfite-free wines were the focus of the event organized by La Semana Vitivinícola (Wine Week), in collaboration with the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV). In a packed room, professionals conducted an exhaustive analysis of technological pathways for producing wines with no or low levels of sulfites, food safety, and wine communication.

New business models for vineyards and wineries were the central theme of the CARTIF Foundation event, where topics such as R&D&I funding opportunities for companies in the wine and olive oil sectors, marketing and communication strategies, and vineyard-winery integration were discussed. The Winemaker's Corner continues its busy schedule of presentations and conferences on various topics related to the sector, as well as wine tasting sessions that bring together dozens of winemakers.
