More than a thousand exhibiting companies and 45,000 square meters of exhibition space. These are the impressive figures that, from today until February 15, define the wine and olive oil trade shows at Feria de Zaragoza. Five events – ENOMAQ, OLEOMAQ, TECNOVID, OLEOTEC, and FRUYVER – showcase all the technology, components, and innovations of the viticulture, olive oil, and fruit and vegetable sectors.

In this way, pavilions 3, 4, 5, and 6 become the leading industry hub and a major commercial platform featuring some of the top companies in these segments.

The opening ceremony, held this morning at 12:00 PM, was presided over by the Minister of Agriculture of the Government of Aragon, Modesto Lobón, the Vice President of the Aragonese Trade Fair Institution, María López, representatives from the Zaragoza City Council, the Zaragoza Provincial Council, and the General Manager of the Zaragoza Trade Fair, José Antonio Vicente, among others. Minister Lobón addressed the media present at the opening ceremony.

There, he emphasized the role of the Zaragoza Trade Fair as a driver of the economy thanks to its ability to attract exhibitors from around the world. He also stated that events of this caliber serve to strengthen Aragon's agri-food industry and its presence in the international market. The event marks the opening of eight exhibition halls, five of which are related to the wine and olive oil markets. According to María López, these are “two areas where we can see everything related to the best machinery and the processes involved in bottling, labeling, distribution, collection, and even bringing the product to market.”

For the vice president of the trade fair institution, the five wine and olive oil shows present “great business prospects,” thanks to the interest they have generated among industry professionals. She also highlighted that the response in the first few hours after the events opened has been “very positive” and expressed confidence that these shows will be a valuable tool for the market. María López emphasized the presence of more than fifty delegations from Reverse Trade Missions, primarily from countries in the Mediterranean region, given their significant potential for wine and olive oil production. According to the Vice President of the Fair, these are one of the most important elements of the trade shows, along with the more than sixty conferences, meetings, activities, lectures, and presentations held within the framework of these events.

In statements to the media, López highlighted the exhibition area comprised of COSMOMAQ and FARMAMAQ, located in Hall 9, which attracts stakeholders in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics sectors, as well as the new addition of the food safety sector, represented by SEAL. In total, 2,300 square meters and 69 exhibitors showcase the synergies offered by both sectors in terms of manufacturers and processes. FARMAMAQ – COSMOMAQ – SEAL 2013. Alongside the opening of the wine and olive oil shows, three exhibitions related to the pharmaceutical, laboratory technology, cosmetics, and food safety industries have begun in Hall 9. In total, 69 brands linked to these sectors are taking center stage in an area characterized by innovation and a strong technological component. COSMOMAQ, FARMAMAQ, and SEAL are the main events of these shows, which will run until next Thursday.

The Feria de Zaragoza convention center experienced an intense first day, analyzing the future of drug traceability in the European Union. In short, eight trade shows marked by a technological focus and a strong professional component, making the exhibition center's pavilions important industry benchmarks.
