The ENOMAQ, OLEOMAQ, TECNOVID, OLEOTEC, and FRUYVER trade shows opened their doors this morning with 1,096 exhibitors from 22 countries, occupying over 47,000 square meters.

For four days, the Zaragoza Trade Fair is hosting the latest editions of these events, which boast "an international presence and continuous technological advancements," as highlighted by Modesto Lobón, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, and Environment for the Government of Aragon, during the opening ceremony of the five fairs. Research, development, and innovation are the hallmarks of the equipment, techniques, and machinery on display at the fairgrounds. In this regard, Lobón emphasized that new technologies allow the sector to "become more competitive."

The wine and olive oil sectors are demonstrating their strength and international reach at these highly technological trade shows. “We are jointly celebrating five trade fairs with many synergies between them, and each edition demonstrates a significant technological leap,” stated Manuel Teruel, president of Feria de Zaragoza.

For his part, the Councilor for Urban Planning of the Zaragoza City Council, Carlos Pérez Anadón, emphasized the economic impact of these fairs, where almost 50% of the exhibitors are from abroad, representing a significant benefit not only for Feria de Zaragoza but also for the city. During the opening day, diplomas were awarded to the 11 technological innovations recognized in this edition.

The trade fair institution also recognized two companies celebrating their 50th and 40th anniversaries this year, respectively: Vidrala and Zaforsa, with diplomas recognizing their professional trajectory. One of the main new features of this edition is the introduction of the first Enomaq Excellence Award for wineries, which was awarded to Bodegas Grupo Yllera. The president of Feria de Zaragoza, Manuel Teruel, who presented the commemorative diploma to Carlos Yllera, highlighted the important role that wineries play within the agri-food sector.

TRADE MISSIONS

This year, the 58 delegations come from Algeria, the United States, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, and Turkey.
