The jury for the E-BEER 2025 Master Brewer Award, composed of Mr. Alberto Ruiz and Ms. María Felisa Bartolomé Ocete, met last Tuesday, December 17th, at the Zaragoza Trade Fair facilities to deliberate and select the winner.

In accordance with the rules, which stipulate that the award recognizes the Master Brewer for their professional career, the jury agreed to award the prize jointly to Salvador Villacreces Arnedo and Robert Clarcke Maltman.

Salvador Villacreces Arnedo, an agricultural engineer and Production Manager at Cervezas Gran Vía, has extensive experience in breweries worldwide, with 11 beers having won awards in international competitions.

A professor for over a decade at various universities, he is currently pursuing a doctorate in Agri-food and Biosystems Science and Engineering.

Founder and president of the Almería University Brewing Association (AECUAL), he is also the author of several books and publications and a judge in major international beer competitions.

Robert Clarke Maltman, Master Brewer and Founding Partner of Maltman and 3Cumbers Craft Beer, trained at the American Brewers Guild in California, where later, coinciding with the great expansion of craft beer in the 1990s in the United States, he began his first job as a master brewer.

He continued developing his career in Mexico, where he spent more than 10 years collaborating and working with different breweries in the sector. In 2010, he arrived in Spain, contributing greatly to the expansion of the craft beer movement in various projects such as Cervezas La Sagra.

After a long career as a master brewer, he decided to found his own craft brewery, Maltman Brewing.

The awards ceremony will take place on February 11, 2025, at the Zaragoza Trade Fair Auditorium during the 24th edition of the event. In addition to the recognition, the winners will benefit from various promotional and visibility initiatives organized by ENOMAQ 2025.
