The Zaragoza Trade Fair aims to pay tribute to the essential and meticulous work of the great olive oil artisans. Therefore, for the first time in its seven editions, the International Exhibition of Machinery and Equipment for Olive Mills and Packaging, OLEOMAQ 2019, is launching the ‘Master Olive Mill Award’.

The award, which has a single category, recognizes the career of the professional olive oil maker. The competition's professional jury will consider the sustained and particularly noteworthy work of the master olive oil makers, who contribute through their work to creating a model of quality and excellence for the olive oil sector.

In this sense, the organizers of OLEOMAQ 2019 intend to highlight the value of the olive oil sector, one of the most reputable and representative activities within the Mediterranean agri-food industry.

The joint celebration of the OLEOMAQ and OLEOTEC trade fairs – along with ENOMAQ and TECNOVID – from February 26 to March 1, 2019, at the Zaragoza Trade Fair, offers professionals in the olive oil and wine industries the opportunity to discover the latest innovations in machinery and technologies applied to these sectors, as well as to discuss and analyze the challenges that the development of both activities presents for the future of the agri-food sector.

Participants can submit their applications until October 19, 2018, and after the jury's evaluation, the decision will be announced on October 31, revealing the name of the candidate who will win the first ‘Master Olive Mill Award’.

With this initiative, Feria de Zaragoza promotes and rewards the work and innovation developed by companies and professionals to make the olive oil industry more competitive and of higher quality within the international sector, where Spain is one of the most dynamic countries.
