ENOMAQ-OLEOMAQ-EBEER and TECNOVID-OLEOTEC 2025 have already announced their winners for the Technological Improvements and Innovations Competition

The Jury for the ENOMAQ-OLEOMAQ-EBEER and TECNOVID-OLEOTEC Competition for Technological Improvements and Innovations met last Friday, November 28th, at the Zaragoza Trade Fair facilities to deliberate and select the winners in each category for the 2025 edition. The Jury is chaired by Mr. Ernesto Franco Aladrén and comprised of Mr. Juan Cacho Palomar, Mr. Luis Sanz Tejedor, Mr. Juan Sagarna García, Mr. José Luis Chueca Sancho, and Mr. Pedro Arnal Atares, who also serves as Secretary.

In accordance with the terms of the call for proposals, which stipulate that the designation of innovation or improvement be awarded to products or services that stand out for their technological contribution, innovation, and results, the jury recorded its agreement to award the ENOMAQ-OLEOMAQ-EBEER 2025 Technological Innovation to:

  • Biosystems Biotech Spain (Barcelona, ​​Spain), for its “Complete System for the Detection of Allergens in Wine and By-products,” which consists of a simple methodology using nanoparticles for the detection of allergens in wines and by-products.
  • Cork Supply España, S.L. (La Rioja, Spain), for “Legacy,” which uses electromagnetic imaging combined with AI to measure the oxygen transmission rate of each cork and consequently classify it.
  • Fermentis – Division of S.I. Lesafre (Marcq en Baroeul, France) for “SpringFix™ Mousy - yeast derivatives,” a simple and technical solution for completely or partially eliminating the mousey taste.
  • L.A.S.I., S.R.L. (Meolo, Italy) for its “Rotating Isobaric Tank,” which incorporates a new sparkling winemaking system in addition to its two classic methods.
  • Tonnelerie J.M. Gonçalves (Palacoulo, Portugal) for “Onyx System, Aqua System, and Onyx Fusion,” which incorporates an alternative barrel toasting system to traditional methods.
  • Parsec, S.R.L. (Siesto Fiorentino, Italy) for “ADC ML” with its innovative in-situ malolactic fermentation monitoring system.
  • Amorim Cork, S.A. (Santa Maria de Lamas, Portugal) for “Bee W®”, with its cork stopper coating using natural polymers.

The jury also selected New Holland (Madrid, Spain) as the winner of the TECNOVID-OLEOTEC 2025 Technological Innovation Award for “SmartSteer and CustomSteer in New Holland Braud grape harvesters,” a harvester guidance management system that facilitates maneuvers and is independent of the GPS signal.

Regarding the ENOMAQ-OLEOMAQ-EBEER 2025 Technological Improvements, the jury selected the following winners:

  • ANTON PAAR SPAIN, S.L.U. (Madrid, Spain) for its “Fermentation Monitor” with easy installation and operation of the beer fermentation process monitoring system.
  • EKINSA (EQUIPAMIENTOS INDUSTRIALES, S.A., Castejón, Spain) for “Lavabarricas Innovac,” a portable unit that improves ergonomics for the operator.
  • FIXEDTOP (Soluciones en Plástico el Ventorrillo SL, Ibi, Spain) for “Hands-Free Tap,” a device that facilitates handling and dispensing of the product.
  • HTS ENOLOGIA (HTS Enologia di Luigi Scavone, Marsala, Italy) for “Avaferm® Spark,” a device that controls and monitors the second fermentation in large containers.
  • PLÁSTICOS VICENT - SMURFIT WESTROCK (Ibi, Spain) for “Vitop Uno,” which guarantees that the product has not been tampered with.
  • RIVERCAP, S.A. (Lapuebla de Labarca, Spain) for “Symbiosis,” which contributes to sustainability by replacing plastic with paper.
  • SIPREM INTERNATIONAL SPA (Pesaro, Italy) for “Carbon Dioxide Recycling,” a system designed and adapted for working with inert gas.
  • PARSEC, S.R.L. (Siesto Fiorentino, Italy) for “EVO2FERM,” which controls and monitors fermentation.

The winners in the Technological Improvements category of TECNOVID-OLEOTEC 2025 were also announced:

Mollificio Bortolussi SRL (Fiume Veneto, Italy) for “PINNE for vineyard posts INFINITY,” which offers a simple and effective system to prevent twisting in end posts and increase stability without the need for tensioners.

RINIERI SRL (Forlì, Italy) for “MEGLIO fertilizer spreader,” which uses two nozzles to independently apply fertilizer to both sides of the row, facilitating localized application.

The awards ceremony will take place on February 11, 2025, at the Zaragoza Trade Fair Auditorium during the 24th edition of the event. In addition to their recognition, the award winners will benefit from various promotional and visibility initiatives by ENOMAQ 2025.

ENOMAQ also includes the ENOMAQ 2025 Excellence Awards, the OLEOMAQ 2025 Excellence Awards, the E-BEER 2025 Excellence Awards, and the Winemaker Award, Olive Mill Excellence Award, and Master Brewer Award. Nominations for these awards can still be submitted until December 10th through the official website of the competition. The awards will be announced on December 17th, and the results will be made public on January 9th or 2025.
