Great success on the second day of ENOMAQ 2025

2025-02-12

The second day of ENOMAQ 2025 has reaffirmed its importance as an essential meeting point for professionals in the wine, olive oil, and beer sectors. With a large influx of visitors and a dynamic business atmosphere filling the pavilions of the Zaragoza Trade Fair, the midpoint of the event has been the setting for engaging presentations, activities, and discussions that reinforce its role as a showcase for trends and innovation in the agri-food sector.

One of the highlights of the day is the launch of the trade mission program, an ENOMAQ initiative designed to help exhibiting companies expand their business opportunities and establish strategic connections with firms worldwide. This year, 61 trade missions have arrived from countries such as Morocco, the United States, South Africa, Lebanon, and Tunisia, among others, solidifying its position as a key space for business. These international visitors highlighted the quality and diversity of the exhibition offerings, underscoring ENOMAQ's role as an international benchmark for discovering the latest innovations and establishing new business opportunities.

Cariñena, European City of Wine 2025

Another highlight of the day was the recognition of Cariñena as European City of Wine 2025. Feria de Zaragoza and ENOMAQ commemorated this milestone by presenting the town with a commemorative plaque. The mayor of Cariñena, Sergio Ortiz Gutiérrez, signed the Feria de Zaragoza guestbook at an event also attended by Teresa Ladrero, Vice President of the Provincial Council of Zaragoza, who emphasized ENOMAQ's role in boosting the sector. Ortiz Gutiérrez expressed his gratitude for the support received from Feria de Zaragoza and the Provincial Council and highlighted the collaborative environment between the two institutions.

The VinEspaña 2025 Competition Begins

The second day of ENOMAQ 2025 also marked the start of the VinEspaña National Wine Competition, organized by the Spanish Federation of Oenology (FEAE) in collaboration with the Government of Aragon, the Zaragoza Trade Fair, and the Aragonese Association of Oenologists (AAE). The Forum Space in Pavilion 9 hosted a packed schedule of activities in which technology and sustainability took center stage. The day began with the round table discussion "Automation in Olive Mills: Application of New Technologies with the Use of AI," led by Miguel Abad of AEMODA, which addressed the opportunities that artificial intelligence offers to olive oil production.
