ROTER MAQUINARIA AGRICOLA

The story of Roter Italia begins in 1972 when the Forigo brothers manufactured the first rotary harrow in their small company in Salizzole, near Verona – Italy. A few years later, the company moved to a much larger area in Ostiglia, near Mantua – Italy, where it is still located. ROTER ITALIA took its name from the rotary harrow: “Roter” refers to the teeth that work the soil by rotating, and “Italia” identifies the origin of the products manufactured.

All products made by ROTER ITALIA are branded and distributed under the FORIGO name and are divided into two main lines for soil cultivation:

The historical line for the agricultural sector: rotary harrows, rotary tillers, shredders for weeds, pruning residues, and crop residues.

The innovative line for horticulture, nurseries, gardening, and special crops: soil embedders, shaping machines, machines for distributing solid and liquid fumigants.

This range of specialized machines emerged in the early 1990s, alongside the parallel development of the horticultural sector and a growing demand for higher performance and attention to detail. Driven by this momentum, Roter Italia forged its identity and production methods, developing its own machinery in collaboration with universities and end users, providing unique and “custom-made” solutions to meet their needs.

As a result, the horticultural world today considers the FORIGO brand a leader in innovation and technological development in manufacturing unique solutions for soil preparation before sowing or transplanting and for soil treatment.

The more recent focus on reducing pesticide use in both agriculture and horticulture led the company to develop the Modula project, a seeder capable of planting many types of crops using mulching films with an innovative concept.

Today, ROTER ITALIA is a young and dynamic company, still managed by the Forigo brothers and the new generations, strongly active in international markets with over 85% of its production exported.
