FIMA 2026, the International Agricultural Machinery Fair, has concluded its 44th edition with a resounding success that reinforces its position as a leading global platform for business and innovation in the agricultural sector. The event, held at the Zaragoza Trade Fair Center, brought together 1,267 exhibiting companies from 35 countries, covering an area of 88,480 square meters.
This was highlighted at the final meeting of the Organizing Committee, held yesterday at the Zaragoza Conference Center, where the results of the event were analyzed and the first strategic plans for the 2028 edition were outlined.
The success of the 44th edition of the fair would not have been possible without the support of the institutions and companies that comprise the Organizing Committee. In addition, the new Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food of the Government of Aragon, Arancha Simón, participated in this meeting, along with the following companies that are members of the Committee: Agragex, Agro Intelligent, S.L., Aguirre Maquinaria Agrícola, Ansemat, Apisa-Ayerbe Plantas Ind. de Secado, S.L., Arados Fontán, Arcusin, Campag, Cuchillería Agricultura Martorell, S.L., Grupo Ama, J.J. Broch, S.L., Kuhn Ibérica, S.A., Maisadour/Mas Seeds, Manutención y Servicios, S.L., Maquinaria Agrícola Agrator, S.L., Serrat Trituradoras, Tallers Ribacar, S.L., and Tatoma.
FIMA 2026 welcomed 187,875 professionals, representing a 12.12% increase compared to the 167,564 visitors registered in 2024. The presence of 638 exhibitors from 35 countries further reinforces the event's strong international reach and appeal. This positive assessment is also reflected in the satisfaction figures. 80% of exhibitors felt they had met their participation objectives, and 90% of visitors already plan to return for FIMA 2028.
FIMA 2026 also hosted a program of activities, with more than 80 technical sessions and parallel events that brought together over 2,400 accredited attendees. This program reflects FIMA's growing commitment to generational change and technological evolution.
The Organizing Committee highlighted some of the initiatives of this edition. Among them was FIMA Tech, the specialized space in Hall 9, dedicated exclusively to technology, digitalization, and automation in the agricultural sector. It served as a platform for companies, startups, and universities working in robotics, artificial intelligence, IoT, and precision agriculture to showcase how they are responding to the sector's growing technological demands.
Similarly, the Committee members highlighted FIMA Conecta Talento, the strategic initiative aimed at attracting young professionals to the agri-food sector and showcasing the opportunities it offers.
The Committee also emphasized the results of the Technical Innovations Competition, which recognizes the R&D&I investment efforts of exhibiting companies each year. The Excellence Award went to the Gardeniers Special Employment Center, supported by ATADES, a project that combines certified organic farming and social inclusion.
Feria de Zaragoza is already working on the next edition, FIMA 2028, which will continue to focus on technological innovation, sustainability, professionalization of the sector and attracting young talent in the agricultural sector.
