Today, at Feria de Zaragoza, the 4th Organising Committee of FIMA 2026 was held, a meeting to present the latest developments for the 44th edition of the International Fair of Agricultural Machinery, which will take place from 10 to 14 February 2026. During the meeting, the main strategic lines, the commercial progress and the most important new features of the event were presented.
The figures for commercial progress were also announced. As of today, FIMA 2026 already brings together 1,162 exhibiting brands from 27 countries, including Germany, Italy, Portugal, Argentina, China, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Canada, the United States and South Korea.
Sectors related to fertilizers, plant protection products, irrigation, greenhouses, crop protection, seeds and nurseries will be concentrated in Halls 1 and 2. Halls 3 and 4 will host components, accessories, agro-energy, cranes, handling and storage, loaders, post-harvest, precision agriculture, transport and tractors. Hall 5 will feature agro-energy, green areas, ATVs, generator sets, pressure washers, monoculture, engines, tractors and gardening. Halls 6, 7 and 8 will bring together agro-energy, green areas, telescopic handlers, forestry, tillage, tyres, harvesting, sowing, planting and fertilising, tractors, land transformation and unifeed systems. Finally, Hall 9 will house FIMA Tech, the new large area dedicated to digital innovation applied to the agri-food sector.
Another aspect addressed by the Committee was the national promotion plan, within which Feria de Zaragoza has carried out two roadshows with the aim of bringing FIMA closer to strategic territories. The first was held on 30 October in Seville, within the framework of the ETSIA Technical Conference, where Fernando Cidraque, director of FIMA, presented the main guidelines of the event and the new initiatives focused on digital transformation, sustainability and young talent.
The second presentation was held on 7 November in Santiago de Compostela, hosted by the Regional Ministry of Rural Affairs of the Xunta de Galicia. During the event, the importance of bringing the fair closer to regions with strong agricultural and livestock potential was underlined.
Internationalisation
FIMA 2026 once again strengthens its international projection thanks to the trade mission programme promoted together with ICEX Spain Export and Investment. The programme will include a business round on Monday 9 February, followed by professional visits on 10 and 11 February. So far, these missions include the participation of Ecuador, Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, Greece, Iraq, Lithuania, Serbia, Thailand, Uruguay, Uzbekistan and Kenya.
In addition, there are the missions organised by Feria de Zaragoza, scheduled for 11 and 12 February, which will bring together buyers from Bulgaria, Chile, Morocco, Peru, Romania, Mexico, Poland and Tunisia.
The 2026 edition will also feature a programme of side events to be held in the auditoriums and rooms of Hall 7, as well as the FIMA Tech Congress in Hall 9. Among the conferences already confirmed are those organised by Angra, Campag, Agragex, Circe, Ansemat, the Government of Aragon, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fede, Aeryd, Ambimetrics Comunica-T, Hydac and Zinnae, with further sessions to be added in the coming weeks.
FIMA Tech: one of the main new features of FIMA 2026
FIMA Tech, located in Hall 9, will bring together the main technology players linked to the agri-food sector, including companies, startups, spin-offs, universities, research centres and public institutions. FIMA Tech will showcase solutions in agricultural robotics and automation, artificial intelligence, big data and predictive analytics, precision agriculture, digital platforms, IoT and applied sensors, among other technologies aimed at increasing the efficiency and sustainability of agricultural holdings. This space is being launched with the aim of driving the digital transformation of the sector and becoming one of the major attractions of the 2026 edition.
FIMA will also include the “Conecta Talento” day in Hall 7, a space designed to foster meetings between young professionals and companies in the sector. Following the positive reception of this initiative at the last edition of FIGAN, Feria de Zaragoza has decided to promote it at FIMA as well, responding to the request of several exhibiting companies.
The goal is to encourage generational renewal, promote entrepreneurship and boost employability in the agri-food sector, which shares with the livestock field numerous challenges related to transformation and the incorporation of young talent.
Feria de Zaragoza is approaching this 44th edition of FIMA by strengthening its commitment to a trade fair model that is closer, more useful and aligned with the needs of the sector. With a wide-ranging exhibition offer, growing international participation and a technical programme that includes new spaces such as FIMA Tech and FIMA Conecta Talento, the event continues to work to offer a professional meeting point that provides value, drives innovation and supports farmers, companies and institutions in facing the present and future challenges of the countryside.
