With eight months to go, FIMA 2026 continues to move forward steadily. On June 19, the third meeting of the Organizing Committee of the International Agricultural Machinery Fair took place at the Zaragoza Conference Center, chaired by José Antonio Lostal, CEO of J.J. Broch.
The meeting shared the main updates and figures for the event. To date, FIMA 2026 has already confirmed the participation of 571 exhibiting brands from 36 countries, representing significant growth compared to previous editions. In addition, 86 new exhibitors have requested more than 3,400 square meters of exhibition space. The total area reserved now reaches 34,459 square meters.
During the meeting, the work carried out by the organizers was also highlighted. They are designing a more accessible, dynamic FIMA, better aligned with the demands of today's agricultural sector. Among the main lines of action are the launch of the FIMA Road Show, with traveling events in September, October, and November across different regions of Spain, focusing on topics such as digitalization, efficient irrigation, and automation. Efforts are also underway to enhance the visitor experience, with targeted promotion in strategic markets such as France and Portugal, and with specific initiatives aimed at dealerships, training centers, and agricultural associations.
Another key focus of the event will be the creation of new spaces within the pavilions for presentations, technical workshops, and industry meetings. Furthermore, FIMA 2026 will feature thematic days and significant parallel events, such as the National Rural Development Forum, organized by the College of Agricultural Engineers of Aragon, Navarre, and the Basque Country, and will once again host the FIMA Gala, Excellence Awards, and the Competition for New Products and Technical Improvements.
With the aim of attracting new generations of professionals in the field, FIMA will also feature the FIMA Connects Talent space, which will include express mentoring sessions between young people and industry experts, an area dedicated to AgriTech startups that foster innovation and entrepreneurship, and specific activities aimed at the educational community.
During the committee meeting, the new role of “FIMA Ambassador” was also officially presented. This role will be filled by José Lafuente Ruiz, a professional with over twenty years of experience in the sector, seventeen of them as the head of KUHN Ibérica. Lafuente has been a member of the Organizing Committee and chaired it in 2020, in addition to serving on the ANSEMAT Board. His experience and in-depth knowledge of the agricultural market bring great value to FIMA.
FIMA 2026, from February 10 to 14 at Feria de Zaragoza, will once again be the great showcase of the agricultural sector of southern Europe, with a clear vocation for international growth, commitment to innovation and special attention to new professional profiles and young farmers.
