FIMA 2026 refuerza su papel como motor de innovación en una jornada marcada por la tecnología y el debate

2026-02-12

FIMA 2026 experienced a day of intense activity across its nine halls today, reflecting the strong professional atmosphere and commercial dynamism that characterize this trade fair. From early morning, visitors, exhibitors and industry professionals took part in a comprehensive agenda of technical sessions, specialized forums, institutional meetings and trade missions that will continue until February 14.

Trade Missions

The third day of FIMA began with the traditional trade missions organized by Feria de Zaragoza in Hall 7, which continued throughout the day. Various commemorative events were also held to mark the anniversaries of brands and organizations such as Stihl, Industrias David, John Deere, RIS and Jaime Gaset Law Ibérica.

Technical Conferences and Parallel Activities

One of the first sessions of the day was the conference “Agro 5.0: Technology, Sustainability and Water Resilience in the Agriculture of the Future,” organized by ZINNAE within the FIMA TECH space, where the main challenges facing modern agriculture were addressed from a technological and environmental perspective. At the same time, the CIRCE Technology Center organized the session “Advanced Agronomic Systems for Soil Management and Climate Adaptation” in Room 1 of the Congress Center, focusing on solutions to improve soil efficiency and address climate change.

Another major milestone of the day was the second session of the 10th National Rural Development Forum, organized by the Association of Agricultural Engineers of Aragón, Navarra and La Rioja in the Congress Center Auditorium. Under the theme “Rural Development in the New International Context,” the forum analyzed the challenges and opportunities facing rural areas in a scenario shaped by technological and geopolitical changes.

In the field of technological innovation and entrepreneurship, FIMA TECH concentrated a significant portion of the day’s activities. In Hall 8, the Start Up Forum, organized by FIMA TECH, brought together startups and experts in sustainability, biotechnology, robotics, digital automation, precision agriculture and strategic competitiveness throughout the day. As part of this forum, the Agroinfluencers Round Table — “The Future of Farming: Talent, Technology and Transformation” — highlighted the role of new digital communicators as drivers of rural and agri-food sector development.

Hall 9 of FIMA TECH hosted various sessions focused on digitalization and sector cooperation. These included the conference “Digitalization Technologies: Equipment Manufacturers’ Perspective,” organized by the University of Zaragoza, the University of Córdoba, the Polytechnic University of Madrid, the Polytechnic University of Valencia and Spanish Agri-Food Cooperatives, as well as the initiative “AGRICLUSTER INNOVATION SUMMER 2026,” promoted by Campag, which held its second session.

Outside the FIMA TECH space, the FIMA program also featured sessions of great interest for professional farmers. In Hall 7, Ambimetrics presented the talk “Constant Pressure, Consistent Results: An Electronic Module for Precision Spraying,” while Veggadigital delivered the session “No More Guesswork in the Field: Manage Fertigation and Climate with Real Data,” aimed at optimizing water and nutrient use through advanced monitoring systems. Meanwhile, Fertilizantes Xiloca presented “Plant Advantage: Signaling Compounds, a New Generation of Biostimulants” in Room 3 of the Congress Center.

Digitalization also played a key role with the presentation “Artificial Intelligence, the Great Ally for the Competitiveness of the Agri-Food Sector,” organized by Ibercaja and held in the Premium Room of Hall 4. In the same field, Agricolum presented “Agricultural Technology at Your Fingertips” in Room 4 of the Congress Center, focusing on new digital tools for farm management.

The day also included the presentation of the Fruit Innovation Hub Verón, organized by Viveros Verón in Hall 7, whose opening was attended by the Regional Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Food of the Government of Aragón, Javier Rincón Gimeno; the Director General for Innovation and Food Promotion, Amparo Cuéllar; and the Director General for Food Quality and Safety, María Aitziber.

At the institutional level, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food participated with the session “Boosting Mechanization: The RENOVE Plan and Quality Labels,” held in Room 2 of the Congress Center.

In terms of sustainability, Bayer presented the conference “Easy Management of Phytosanitary Waste: How Artificial Intelligence Helps Predict Residue Levels to Meet Market Standards.”

The program was completed with sector reflection spaces such as the presentation “Identity and Scope of SARGA,” organized by the Aragonese Society for Agro-Environmental Management in Room 3 of the Congress Center, as well as professional meetings and internal gatherings, including the DIECI dealers’ meeting and the General Assembly of the ANGRA Association, held during the afternoon at the Congress Center.

FIMA 2026 thus continues to reaffirm itself as the major meeting point for the agri-food sector, where technological innovation, technical knowledge, rural development and public-private collaboration come together to drive the future of agriculture.
