SPAPER 2025: A rapidly growing edition that promotes knowledge and innovation in the paper industry
2024-12-20
Less than three months remain until the fourth edition of the International Exhibition of Machinery and Equipment for Pulp, Paper, and Cardboard (SPAPER 2025), which will be held at Feria Zaragoza. This year, the event reaffirms its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the development of technical knowledge.
From March 4th to 6th, 2025, Hall 3 of the Zaragoza fairgrounds will be the meeting point for the international paper, cardboard, and packaging sector. The main participating associations and companies are showing strong support for the event thanks to its extensive exhibition offerings—140 brands from 18 countries have already confirmed their presence—and the excellent quality and variety of its parallel activities and technical seminars. Visitors to SPAPER 2025 will have the opportunity to discover the latest trends and technical solutions over three days through a robust technical program featuring engaging industry content. This program will address the current state of the sector and how to meet its challenges, and is geared towards both exhibiting companies and visitors from the paper industry.
On the first day, the program will focus on addressing the sector's main challenges, with presentations from leading companies and industry associations, such as "Talent Acquisition and Integration of Women in the Paper Industry" presented by SAICA; "A Review of Key European Regulations for the Sector" presented by the Confederation of European Paper Industries; and a presentation on artificial intelligence, "Where Have We Come From and Where Are We Now?", by Vicomtech, which underscores SPAPER's commitment to technological development and innovation.
The second day will feature the Basque Country Paper Cluster's Technical Paper Forum, which will address success stories in technology implementation, diversification, and process improvement. The program highlights practical and concise presentations designed to inspire new opportunities and foster knowledge exchange among professionals and key organizations in the paper industry, establishing itself as a vital platform for the sector. Some of the topics to be addressed will include the sustainable use of resources, trends in the paper industry, and solutions to impurity formation. The Pere Valls paper company will participate in the Forum, presenting one of its success stories.
During the afternoons and on the final day of the event, commercial presentations will be given by exhibiting companies. These sessions will allow visitors to learn about key industry trends and explore specific solutions to the daily challenges faced by the sector.
The fourth edition of SPAPER will be held concurrently with the third edition of EXPOFIMER, the International Renewable Energy Maintenance Trade Fair, and SMAGUA, the International Water and Irrigation Exhibition, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2025. This synergy between events will enhance networking and offer unique opportunities for collaboration between related sectors. As a grand finale, a gala will be held at the iconic Water Tower in Zaragoza, where SPAPER and its exhibitors will also be present due to the numerous synergies between the two events.
With its comprehensive approach and value proposition, SPAPER 2025 promises to be the essential event for professionals in the paper industry.
