SMOPYC 2026 presents its program of technical sessions and parallel activities

SMOPYC 2026, the International Exhibition of Public Works, Construction, and Mining Machinery, is committed, in its 20th edition, to a comprehensive program of technical seminars and parallel activities. These initiatives, promoted by participating associations, organizations, and companies, are part of the official SMOPYC program and aim to create spaces for knowledge sharing, debate, and networking for industry professionals.

SMOPYC 2026 TECHNICAL SEMINAR PROGRAM

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15

The International Specifiers Reverse Trade Mission, organized by ANMOPYC – the Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Construction, Public Works, and Mining Machinery – in collaboration with ICEX Spain Export and Investment.

The event will take place from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM in Hall 9 and will consist of a networking session with specialized media from India, Singapore, Germany, and the United Kingdom, with the aim of facilitating meetings between companies in the sector and specialized journalists. The initiative will allow manufacturers to present equipment, new products, and technological solutions.

That same day will also feature Rental Day, organized by ASEAMAC (Association of Machinery and Equipment Rental Companies). Throughout the day, the "Rental Route" will be offered, a tour of the stands of member companies within the fairgrounds to showcase the advantages of the rental model and the new products presented by the participating companies.

In addition, the technical program will include the Innovation SMOPYC Talks, an event promoted by ANMOPYC (Spanish Association of Manufacturers and Exporters of Machinery for Construction, Public Works and Mining), PTEC (Spanish Technological Platform for Construction), and ITA (Technological Institute of Aragon), in Hall 9.

These sessions will bring together experts and professionals to discuss the main technological challenges facing the sector. These are the planned times:

  • 10:30 – 12:00: Innovation SMOPYC Talk: Digitalization of Machinery and Construction: Data, Connectivity, and New Services
  • 12:15 – 13:45: Innovation SMOPYC Talk: New Energy Sources and Decarbonization of Machinery
  • 16:00 – 17:30: Second technical session organized by ANMOPYC, PTEC, and ITA

The Spanish Association for the Recycling of Construction and Demolition Waste (RCDA) will be present at SMOPYC with an information stand where it will showcase its activities promoting the recycling of RCDA and the use of recycled aggregates and materials. More than 60 member recycling plants in Spain will be represented at this stand.

The event also includes a meeting of the association's Board of Directors, where they will discuss the main lines of work for 2026, including the organization's territorial consolidation, monitoring European initiatives related to the circular economy, and developing sector-specific projects linked to materials recycling.

THURSDAY, APRIL 16

The day will begin with a meeting of the European H2MAC Project consortium, organized by ANMOPYC and ITA, which will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Room 1 of the Congress Center. The meeting will bring together the project partners to advance the development of solutions related to hydrogen applied to machinery.

At 10:00 AM, the Federation of Construction Guilds will hold its Extraordinary General Assembly in the Ebro Room. Simultaneously, the technical seminar “Advances in Applied Geotechnical Machinery,” organized by AETESS (Association of Soil and Subsoil Technology Companies), will take place from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the Auditorium of the Congress Center.

Also at 10:00 AM, the meeting of the Board of Directors of ANAPAT (National Association of Aerial Work Platform Rental Companies) will begin and continue until 1:00 PM in Room 3 of the Congress Center.

The program will continue with the session “MasterCo2re: From Innovation to the New Market Benchmark,” organized by Masters Builders Solutions, which will take place from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in Room 4 of the Congress Center.

At 12:00 PM, the meeting of the Aragon Management Committee of ANEFHOP will begin, scheduled to last until 2:00 PM in Room 2 of the Congress Center.

Finally, the second day of the event will include the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Association for the Recycling of Construction and Demolition Waste (RCDA), which will be held from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM in the Ebro Room.

FRIDAY, APRIL 17

The day will begin with the Plenary Session of the CTN-UNE 115 Standardization Committee, “Machinery for Construction, Civil Engineering and Building,” organized by UNE and ANMOPYC, which will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM in Room 2 of the Congress Center.

Subsequently, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the General Assembly of FENAEX (National Federation of Excavators) will take place The event will take place in Hall 1 of the Congress Center. At the same time, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., the session “Market Surveillance: Ensuring Machinery Compliance,” organized by ANMOPYC and focused on the regulatory and control aspects related to machinery marketing, will be held in Hall 9.

The program will continue from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Hall 9 with another session of the Innovation SMOPYC Talks, entitled “Technological Innovation for Safety in Machinery and Construction,” organized by ANMOPYC, PTEC, and ITA.

On Friday morning, a Young Talent Day will also be held, an initiative aimed at introducing the construction machinery sector to 10th-grade students. The activity will begin at 10:15 a.m. with a brief presentation on the current state of the construction sector, its technological innovation processes, and the professional opportunities it offers. Afterwards, the students will participate in a guided tour of various stands at the event, where exhibiting companies will explain the operation of the machinery, technological solutions, and applications on construction sites in an educational way. The day will conclude with free time for the students to continue exploring the fair, with the aim of sparking professional interest among young people.

During the afternoon, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., a tour of the event with specialized content creators will be offered by Feria de Zaragoza at different locations within the fairgrounds, with the aim of introducing the main innovations of the fair to new professional audiences.

Concurrently, also from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., the session “Innovation and Digitalization in Public Works Machinery,” organized by the College of Technical Engineers of Public Works (CITOP), will take place in Room 3 of the Congress Center.

SATURDAY, APRIL 18

The program of activities will conclude with a roundtable discussion with content creators, organized by Feria de Zaragoza, which will take place in the Innovation Pavilion (Hall 9) from 12:00 to 13:00. Participants in this event will include @sofientreobras, @pacasss_, and @miner_trece.

The session will analyze the role of new digital communication channels in disseminating technological innovation, as well as their ability to bring trends in the construction machinery sector closer to new professional audiences.
